INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR DISABLED AT SECONDARY STAGE (IEDSS)
There are 269 children identified in the district at the secondary school level these children need special care and attention for their bringing up and proper education. In the IEDSS scheme provisions for such children are given due importance. In order to remove all architectural barriers in schools each of the newly constructed buildings has ramps and improvised toilets for disabled children. Students with disabilities will have access to support services like the appointment of special educators, establishment of resource rooms in every block. Three model schools are set up in the district to develop good replicable practice in inclusive education. 269 children have been identified in this category and their enrolment and full support is being taken care of for their proper education. A complete description of the disabled children of the district in the age group 14 – 18 is given in the table below:-
